Scott Groot
Articling Student
Scott is an Articling Student at Hall & Larocque and is set to be called to the Manitoba Bar in June 2025. He works closely with Yvan Larocque and Cody Hall, contributing to a wide range of legal matters including Indigenous economic rights, corporate structuring, reorganizations, taxation, land and real estate development, mergers and acquisitions, as well as general business and economic development.
Scott obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Robson Hall, University of Manitoba, in May 2024. Prior to law school, he completed an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at the University of Manitoba. During his third year, Scott gained hands-on experience through clinical externships with the L. Kerry Vickar Business Law Clinic and the Manitoba Legal Clinic for the Arts, where he provided pro bono legal advice and support to entrepreneurs, start-ups, family businesses, and not-for-profit organizations across various sectors.
